We helped build it in 2013. Now we're upgrading it.

Benmax Canberra has been awarded the latest mechanical services upgrade at the Australian Data Centre (ADC) facility - a project that includes three new chillers, three new cooling towers, pipe reticulation, pump installations, and upgrades to the data hall CRAC units.

It's the kind of job we love: complex, critical infrastructure, with a client who knows what we're capable of. We'll be on site from June 2026, working alongside our longstanding construction partner, Construction Control.

More news to come as it kicks off. 🔧

The Hunter Valley hasn't seen a new high school in over 25 years. We're proud to be part of changing that.

Benmax Newcastle has secured the Medowie Park High School project — a 1,000-student greenfield build in Port Stephens, delivering full HVAC design and construct (including electrical) for the NSW Government.

Alongside builder Hansen Yuncken, we're working on a school that will serve the Port Stephens community for generations — 29 classrooms, specialist labs, workshops, a library, and a multi-purpose hall. Construction is already underway, with doors opening for Term 1, 2027.

We're up and running on site at Vernon, 1A Constitution Place, a 25,000sqm sustainable office build in the heart of Canberra.

Fully electric and aiming for 5-star Green Star and 5.5-star NABERS ratings, this development will be 100% carbon neutral — a big step towards a greener Canberra.

We'll be on site across 2026, delivering the mechanical scope alongside the team at Construction Control.

🛠️ We're onboarding the next gen

Our 2026 intake of apprentices, cadets, and graduates are officially on the tools. Benmax has delivered a longstanding apprenticeship program that has grown in recent years to include cadet and graduate positions.

We have 30 people across the business involved this year, including 24 apprentices in mechanical plumbing, welding, electrical, and AC & refrigeration.

We believe that you learn by doing, and that’s why we get apprentices onto real jobs early. At Benmax, we teach skills that will stick with them from job to job, creating a skilled workforce and shaping tomorrow's leaders.

We’re rolling out more support for Canberra families 💙

After funding Roundabout Canberra's first delivery van in 2023, we saw just how much demand there was for their incredible work — so we got stuck in and helped put a second van on the road.

This new van landed just in time to support Roundabout Canberra’s busy Christmas and back-to-school period, delivering baby and children’s essentials straight to local social service providers when they needed it most.

That means more families get what they need, and the Roundabout Canberra team can spend their time on what matters: helping the local community.

🚀 A partnership five years in the making.

We’re now ramping up production capacity across our fabrication and assembly facilities to deliver mechanical system components at industrial scale to build the flagship Firmus AI Factory in Tasmania.

This project is supporting hundreds of long-term jobs in Australia, with many of those roles going to tradespeople who are reskilling into advanced manufacturing.

Australian AI factory developer and operator Firmus Technologies has secured a strategic equity investment from Maas Group Holdings, deepening its commitment to developing an Australian-based supply chain for AI infrastructure and reducing reliance on overseas manufacturing.
