Clients that have been educated on the basics of a construction schedule will appreciate that construction times are at the mercy of several factors - a major one is poor weather conditions (never ending rain in this case).

Delays are a fact of building and building contracts will (should) always stipulate typical delays (owners, be prepared).

Now I have seen guaranteed 26 week build times and like all contracts, I would strongly recommend reading the fine print on these, because while some of us builders are amazing ;-), none of us have Xray vision, functioning crystal balls, nor can we hold back the rain 🙂

Stairs and steps are the generally accepted way to move from one level to the next.

It's important to carefully plan your steps, and then use the appropriate materials for the location (especially outdoors), so when completed they provide an ongoing safe and seamless pathway around your home.

Here, the steps provide access from the living space above to the yard and laundry below. The steps and balustrade are constructed of treated timber - to protect against rot and termites, and are ready for painting, while the feature decking is native 'Jarrah' tongue and groove boards from Western Australia.
