No two conveyors are the same. Differences in conveyor design, material characteristics, loading profiles and operating conditions can all influence weighing performance. Achieving reliable long-term measurement accuracy requires a belt scale engineered around your specific application; an off-the-shelf solution is not going to do the job.

In a recent North American coal project, we found a legacy belt scale believed to be achieving ±0.25% accuracy was actually operating with between 9% and 16% error, directly affecting coal blending decisions.
