We were pleased to be part of the recent launch of Stage 3 of Peel Business Park – Nambeelup Kaadadjan.

Our Connected Energy Senior Manager Business Development, Rob Breden, joined the event to share how the Peel Microgrid, owned and operated by Peel Renewable Energy, a Zenith Energy company, is supporting the precinct’s continued growth.

As Peel Business Park enters its next chapter, we’re proud to continue providing flexible and sustainable energy infrastructure that can grow alongside the businesses it supports.

𝗘𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆: 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Over the past few days, the EVE Zenith Connected Energy project reached a major milestone with the successful transition to the Connection Container, marking an important step towards commissioning the EVE Microgrid.
This achievement supports the project’s move from construction into commissioning and brings EVE one step closer to delivering a reliable and sustainable community energy sharing network.

𝗔 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁
This milestone was made possible through the strong collaboration between Nilsen, Jarrah, AVORA and Cedar Woods.
Nilsen led the high-voltage electrical works, delivering the transition safely and efficiently. AVORA provided site coordination and construction support, ensuring the works progressed smoothly. Jarrah designed and built the Connection Container, supported system integration and led commissioning activities throughout the project.
We would also like to acknowledge Cedar Woods, the Eglinton Village developer, for their ongoing support and collaboration. Their commitment to enabling innovative and sustainable energy infrastructure has been invaluable in helping the EVE Microgrid reach this important milestone.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆
During the planned outage required for the transition, the project team organised a small community engagement initiative for EVE customers and local residents.
The gesture was very well received and provided an opportunity to connect with the community while minimising the impact of the outage. It was a great example of the project’s commitment to not only delivering critical infrastructure, but also supporting and engaging with the people who will benefit from it.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
The Connection Container is the central interface between EVE’s renewable generation, battery energy storage system and the electrical network.
With this milestone now complete, the project can progress into commissioning activities, including energisation, protection testing, control system integration and final performance testing before the microgrid becomes fully operational.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱
Completing this milestone provides a strong foundation for the next phase of the project and keeps the EVE Microgrid on track for successful commissioning.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿

Zenith Connected Energy recently hosted representatives from Western Power for a site visits to the Peel Business Park industrial development near Mandurah and the Eglinton Village Energy (EVE) residential estate in Perth’s growing northern corridor.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Zenith’s growing capabilities in grid-connected embedded network energy solutions and to share insights into the development and delivery of renewable, distributed energy and microgrid projects across Western Australia.

By visiting the projects firsthand, the Western Power team was able to gain further insight into Zenith’s approach to integrating energy infrastructure within new and existing developments, while both organisations discussed the opportunities and considerations associated with connecting increasingly sophisticated, embedded generation energy solutions to the Western Power’s grid.

The engagement also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between Zenith Connected Energy and Western Power as Zenith’s portfolio of grid-connected projects continues to expand.

Early engagement and strong working relationships with network partners are an important part of delivering energy infrastructure efficiently and supporting the continued development of more flexible, distributed and lower-emissions energy solutions, particularly with the important view of increasing the release and servicing of land for housing supply in and around Perth.

We appreciate Western Power’s time and the opportunity to exchange knowledge and look forward to continuing to work together as Zenith Connected Energy supports the growth of innovative energy solutions across Western Australia.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆

Remote mining operations are emerging as an important proving ground for Australia’s energy transition, with Zenith Energy-powered sites achieving renewable energy pe*******on rates above 80% while maintaining reliable power in demanding off-grid environments.

Recent operational results highlight the performance being achieved across three key sites:

▪️ Lynas Rare Earths’ Mt Weld: renewable energy generation reached 95.7% during Q3 FY26, with more than 870,000 litres of diesel saved compared with the same period last year.
▪️ Bellevue Gold: achieved a record monthly renewable energy fraction of 93.8% in February 2026, as well as 155 consecutive hours of 100% instantaneous renewable energy.
▪️ Liontown’s Kathleen Valley: delivered an 82% renewable energy share across Q2 and Q3 FY26.

For remote mining operations, engine-off operation is a significant milestone. Traditionally, thermal generators need to remain running to maintain a stable and reliable power supply. Being able to switch them off completely demonstrates how renewable generation and battery storage can work together to reliably power a remote mining operation without relying continuously on thermal generation.

These results demonstrate that high-renewable energy systems are already operating at commercial scale in some of Australia’s most demanding environments, while helping mining operations reduce diesel consumption, improve energy security and support emissions reduction targets.

Commissioning of the INNIO Jenbacher J620 engine is now underway, marking another important step towards delivering reliable, efficient power for Newmont's Tanami Expansion Project Stage 3.

With major installation works progressing and pre-commissioning activities successfully completed, Zenith's team continues working safely and collaboratively to support Newmont in delivering this important project expansion.

Construction of the King of the Hill (KOTH) Extension Stage 2 Power Station for Vault Minerals continues to make excellent progress, advancing ahead of the original schedule thanks to the commitment, collaboration and expertise of our project team.
