Sometimes replacing a part isn't your only option. 👨‍🏭
This exhaust manifold came into the workshop needing some TLC after developing damage. After plenty of prep work and some careful welding, it's repaired and ready to get back to work.

Not every fabrication job comes out of a catalogue 👌

QR needed a safer way to get on and off locos during maintenance work, so we built a custom ladder infill step to suit the setup 🚂🔧

"Just a small job…"
You know it's going to be a beauty when the job card says something vague like “Repair digger ripper – replace pick mount.” 🤔
But once we had it on the bench, it was clear:
❌ The pick mount had snapped clean off
🔧 We removed what was left, reshaped the arm
🧰 Bevelled and prepped for a solid weld
🛠️ Installed a fresh new adaptor, welded to spec
💪 Finished it with a new pick and she’s back in business!
This ripper’s ready to rip again. 👊
