Eneraque started as Southside Engineering in 1981, focused on building base frames for diesel fuelled generators and pumps. To embrace a wider scope of products to suit the market place, Southside Engineering moved on to manufacture and supply complete generator, pump and lighting tower packages for the mining industry in Queensland. In 1989, company growth and repeat business allowed a move from
leased premises to a new building at Tingalpa, Brisbane with access to pipeline Natural Gas. This move enabled the diversification into gas powered generators, gas flares, gas compression and other gas related products. Whilst the team constantly improved the diesel driven products side of the business, further developments grew into gas handling opportunities with a focus on natural gas and biogas power generation for remote power, water treatment plants and commercial power generation applications. The vision of renewable energy for conservation and efficiency for profitability led the business to form a “gas handling” focused division under the banner of Energen Solutions. Before long, growing requests for diesel and gas equipment rental arose and consequently the rental company Swift Rentals was formed. As all of the business continued to develop, a need for a larger premises surfaced. In early 2012, a move to 14,000m2 of manufacturing and warehouse at Rocklea allowed all three companies to work under one roof.
'With all divisions expanding to a global market and working closer together, Eneraque was formed in late 2012, to consolidate all three businesses under the one name for seamless and integrated service and delivery.'
