🔍 Booth Engineers has been busy inspecting distressed structures all through South-East Queensland. One recent inspection uncovered a severely rusted steel post in Morningside, Brisbane.
Bonus points if you noticed the significantly rusted Bondek slab edge to the underside of the walkway 📷.

⚠️ Steel posts and Bondek slab edges are critical for supporting floors, decks, and walkways. Corrosion, particularly at post bases or slab edges, can seriously compromise the structural integrity of a structure.

🌟 Project Update: Drainage Upgrade Completed! 🌟
Booth Engineers & Associates is pleased to share the successful completion of drainage upgrade works for a property in North Lakes, Brisbane. The property had been experiencing issues with poor drainage and water pooling, particularly along the side of the dwelling where loose rocks and inadequate drainage had been prevalent.

Our team worked closely with the client and their chosen contractor to implement effective solutions, including a new slab with improved falls and additional drainage measures. These upgrades will not only address the immediate concerns but also help protect the property from water damage in the future.

🔔 PROJECT UPDATE 🔔

During last weeks heavy rainfall, we inspected the progress at our North Lakes project where the contractor had installed the waterproofing membrane and additional drainage pits for the new slab💧☔

We reattended this week in sunshine where the contractor has constructed the structural steel for the new slab! 🦺✅ This marks a key milestone in addressing the slab edge dampness and water pooling issues that were affecting the property.

With the structural steel in place, the next steps will focus on pouring and finalising the new slab to ensure long-term protection for the dwelling.

We're excited to announce that we’ve recently begun works on a new project in North Lakes, Brisbane! The property was experiencing slab edge dampness and water pooling, especially to the side of dwelling where there was loose rocks / pebbles and no drainage. After providing Project Assistance and obtaining quotations for the client, we're now starting construction alongside their chosen contractor. The works include a new slab with appropriate falls and additional drainage to address the issue and protect the property for the long term.

🔍 Booth Engineers has been engaged to inspect and classify the severity of rusting and corrosion on over 140 external steel posts at a body corporate unit complex in Victoria Point, Brisbane. 🏘️

⚠️ Steel posts are vital for the structural integrity of buildings as they can support floors, roofs, and decks. Without proper care, corrosion (in particular to the base of the post) can lead to serious structural issues. Our detailed inspection will assess the condition and determine necessary repair methods to rectify the issue.

Booth Engineers & Associates recently completed rectification work on a three-storey unit complex in Paddington. Our team addressed subsidence issues to the structure and sagging to the suspended concrete walkways.
