Friday marked the final day of Rocky as Kaynar Operations Manager- after a successful year Rocky has decided to move back onto the tools to align with his family relocation to Perth.

Rocky has been a key player in the success of Kaynar group over the past year and we cannot thank him enough for his unwavering commitment and support of our team, always with a smile on his face and a spring in his step, ready to tackle any issue head on.

Although we are sad to have him leave our office, we know the impact he will make back on the tools and supporting our Perth based Fitters.

Any Clients looking for a cracker Auto Sparky, we know a guy!

When the clients request, We deliver! As a Kimberley based company, we understand the challenges and complications that come with remote work!

This weekend our Director, Maintenance Manager and Ops team took the 900kms round trip to pick up our stranded Fitter that was due into site on Monday!

Nothing could stop the team as they jumped in the tinny to cross flood waters and get our guy back to Broome. It just goes to show, at Kaynar, we keep our promises, even when the times get tough!

We would like to thank the legend that is Jack Allen for his outstanding contribution over the past two years on one of Kaynar’s earliest civil projects.

As the founding member and leader of Kaynar’s first civil team, Jack’s competent, confident, and dedicated approach has been instrumental in securing the subsequent three-year contract extension.

It’s bittersweet that Jack will be moving on to a newly created leadership role, where he will help replicate this success across our other projects.

We thank you, Jack – you’ve set the benchmark for what our civil teams can achieve.

At the end of the day, we are a people business, and people like Jack ensure we not only survive, but thrive.

Tess and Earl are halfway through their Hedland and Karratha trip, connecting with key partners and strengthening the relationships that keep our projects, and communities, moving.

From workshops to site offices, it’s all about face-to-face conversations, tackling challenges, and building the trust that makes great things happen.

A big thanks to everyone who’s made time to meet so far - excited for the rest of the trip and what’s ahead!

In the mining and maintenance industry we pride ourselves on strength, resilience, and getting the job done. But behind every high-vis, hard hat, and long shift… there’s a human being, often tired, away from family and working in the heat and dust for weeks at a time.

Today, on R U OK? Day, we’re reminding our crew, our mates, and everyone in our industry that it's OK to speak up.

It’s OK to say when things aren’t right, and it’s important to ask "R U OK?" when you notice your mates are different.

A toolbox chat, a moment on-site, or a check-in over smoko. That’s all it takes to start a conversation that could save a life.
