Cable Bolter Operator Jac Le Fevre installs six-metre-long ground support in the hanging wall of the stope and at the stope brow.

This reduces overbreak, which means a more secure workplace for the crew and less dilution of our ore.

Meet Hayden Stevenson, Bogger Operator

Hayden plays a key role in our backfill operations. Using his 2900 loader, he blends cement, water and waste rock to an engineered ratio. The result is improved stability and increased ore recovery across our mining operations.

Jim Dallas, Cody Ashwood, David Keygan and Kevin Bonney are part of the team who operate and maintain our underground loader fleet, pictured with LD17 (Caterpillar 2900 XE).

Our loaders work in areas with open holes and falling rock risks from up to 60m above. By operating them remotely from underground bunkers and even the surface, we recover ore without exposing people to those hazards.

Operating and maintaining the electrical and mechanical systems behind remote operation takes real technical skill, and this team delivers it.

October is Mental Health Month, a good reminder that looking after your mind is just as important as looking after your body.

Some small things that can help:

✔️ Check in with a mate, and really listen to the answer
✔️ Take a break when you need one
✔️ Get outside, move a little, get some sleep
✔️ Ask for help. It's a sign of strength, not weakness

Throughout the month, we'll be highlighting members of the MMG Rosebery team and what they do to look after their own mental health and support those around them.

Our people are our most important asset.

Meet Brody Lohrey (left) and Bryce Purton — two of the hardworking crew keeping our operation moving every day.

Brody is a Nipper, playing a vital support role on site by keeping development operations running smoothly -from maintaining supplies to assisting the jumbo operator so production never skips a beat.

Bryce is a Charge Up Operator, responsible for the safe and precise loading of explosives in our underground headings - a critical role that requires expertise, focus, and a strong commitment to safety.

Glad to have them both on the team.
