The 100kW–1MW gap that’s finally been unlocked
From 1 October 2026, the SRES eligibility threshold is set to increase from 100kW to 1MW, transforming the economics of commercial rooftop solar across Australia.
For installers, EPCs and commercial energy customers, this could be a major shift.
✅ More projects can access upfront STC incentives.
✅ Larger PV systems become more commercially attractive.
✅ And bigger solar systems create even more opportunity for energy storage.
So what does this mean for C&I?
It means the 100kW–1MW “missing middle” is about to become one of the most economically viable segments in Australian solar. And GoodWe is ready.
GT Series | 100–125kW: High-power three-phase string inverters designed for large commercial PV systems, with up to 10 MPPTs, 21A input current per string and up to 150% DC oversizing. Ideal for scaling commercial PV projects towards the new 1MW opportunity.
