Another great local project completed in Roxby Downs. 👏

SA Engineering recently completed the fabrication and installation of the new scoreboard structure at the Roxby Downs town oval, designed to accommodate the new electronic screen.

The project was delivered for Roxby Downs Council, working in collaboration with Big Screen Video, who supplied and installed the electronic screen panels.

It was great to be involved in delivering this project and contributing to another piece of infrastructure for the local community.

Thanks to Roxby Downs Council and Big Screen Video for the opportunity to work together on this one.

Good boilermakers know the grinder is there for finishing, not fixing everything. Ours certainly do. 😏🔥

SA Engineering is looking for experienced Boilermakers/Welders and a Leading Hand to join our team. Based primarily in our Roxby Downs workshop, you'll be part of a crew delivering quality fabrication, maintenance and project work, with occasional site opportunities when required.

If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a good team and believe in getting the job done right the first time, we'd like to hear from you.

New toy day at SA Engineering.

Our new Doosan Puma GT3100LM CNC turning centre has officially arrived and is now settling into the workshop.

The truck turned up, the crane did the heavy lifting, and the team managed to get it into place without anyone needing a lie down afterwards.

This investment gives us extra in-house CNC machining capacity for precision components, complex parts, repair work, rotable parts, shafts, bushes, pins, flanges and the usual “can you just machine this up quickly?” jobs.

With 3-axis capability and live tooling, the Puma also allows us to turn and mill components in one setup, helping improve accuracy, efficiency and turnaround on more complex work.

Great work by everyone involved in getting it landed safely.
A big thanks to Boom Logistics for the heavy lifting and Kemp Electrical & Maintenance for getting this beast wired up and ready for action.

We’re on the hunt for a hands-on Site Project Supervisor who can keep jobs moving, crews organised, clients happy, and still knows which end of a spanner to hold. Bonus points if you know a flat tyre is a stop-now problem, not a monitor-and-review problem.

Based in Roxby Downs, this is a great opportunity to step into a key role with SA Engineering and help lead our site projects, maintenance works and shutdown support.

Think you’re the right fit?

Congratulations to our apprentice Michael on being nominated for 1st Year Apprentice of the Year. A great reflection of his effort, commitment, and the strong future ahead of him 👏👏

🎉 Celebrating achievement!

Currently undertaking his apprenticeship through CEG and hosted by SA Engineering in Roxby Downs, Michael was nominated for Best 1st Year Apprentice - Mechanical Engineering at the 2026 ATEC Training Awards & Graduation Ceremony, where he proudly made it to the finals.

Being recognised among the top apprentices in the field is an incredible achievement and reflects his skill, dedication, and perseverance 🔧💪

We’re proud to support talented apprentices like Michael as they build the next generation of engineers 🌟

🎉 BIG CONGRATS! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that one of our apprentices has officially completed his trade !

After plenty of early starts, hard work, learning curves (and a few “character building” moments ), he’s come out the other side as a fully qualified tradesman — and a bloody good one at that.

He’s now competently running both CNC and manual machines often at the same time, producing quality work day in and day out, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as part of the team.

Massive thanks for the effort, dedication and commitment you’ve put in, it’s been great watching you grow from apprentice to tradesman.

Trade’s done, congrats! Now when things go wrong you can finally pass the blame onto the apprentices like a proper tradesman 😂

Well done Lachlan, we’re stoked for you and keen to see what’s next!

Red dirt, creek crossings, and 50,000 cattle — SAE keeps Australia moving!

SAE doesn’t just keep the mining and resource industry running — we’re backing the industries that keep Australia ticking.
Our crew recently got stuck into fabrication works on the Coopers Creek Barge, a vital link in moving cattle through some of the toughest country out there. From now until the end of December, around 400 trucks with cargo of approx 50,000 head of cattle are expected to use the barge — proof of just how crucial it is.

From red dirt to creek crossings, this is the kind of work we love — building tough, reliable equipment that keeps Australia moving. 💪

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of SA Engineering 🎉

From humble beginnings (and more than a few late nights of ahh strong “coffees” and “creative” problem-solving), today we proudly celebrate a decade of resilience, growth, and unwavering commitment.

This milestone is a tribute to the incredible people behind SA Engineering — our dedicated team, past and present you’ve survived tight deadlines, shifting scopes, and the occasional “quick job” that turned into a weekend-long saga. Your passion, skill and ability to keep things moving has been the backbone of everything we have achieved. We couldn’t have done it without you — and we wouldn’t dare try!

A special thankyou goes to those loyal team members who have been with us since day one. Your commitment and belief in our vision have been instrumental in shaping SA Engineering’s journey and we are truly grateful for your dedication and loyalty.

To our valued clients, trusted suppliers, and everyone we’ve had the pleasure of working and collaborating with over the years — thankyou for your support and for sticking with us through the highs, the lows, and the unpredictable ride that is engineering.

Onwards and upwards and here’s to the next chapter — more innovation & excellence, continued growth, and maybe just a little less chaos.
Quality Lives On. 💪🖤🧡
