Darren has been part of GBG (on and off) for more than 30 years, working as a skilled Concrete Finisher. With decades of experience, he’s made his mark on projects across Gippsland and beyond.

Industry Visit with Catholic College Sale

It was great to welcome Year 11 VCE VM students from Catholic College Sale to GBG this week.

Tom, Dave and Chris gave students a look behind the scenes at the many different roles that make up GBG, both on-site and in the office. They also shared their own journeys to their current roles, each taking a different path to get there.

We’re proud to support local students and provide genuine opportunities through apprenticeships and traineeships, helping them explore what a rewarding future in construction can look like.

Always great to see the next generation taking an interest in our industry.

Orrey has been part of GBG for 11 years, keeping our plant and equipment running smoothly as a Maintenance Mechanic. His role is essential to making sure our crews can operate efficiently and safely on site.

For the past 13 years, Tom has been an integral part of GBG. Starting out as a Carpenter, he gained hands-on experiece across many of our major projects. Now as Operations Manager, he plays a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of works across the business while supporting crews on and off site.
