Lead Solar Electrician / Electrical Supervisor – Island Energy – Renewable Industry
Location: Gippsland & Mornington Peninsula, VIC (with some travel across regional Victoria)
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 + Super + Vehicle + Performance Bonus
Employment Type: Full-time (4-day week negotiable)

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced A-Grade Electrician to step into a leadership position as our Lead Electrician in the role of Electrical Supervisor.
This is the ideal opportunity for someone who’s ready to step off the tools a little — but still stay hands-on technically — taking ownership of compliance, quality, and team development across our solar and battery projects.
You’ll work closely with the General Manager to ensure installations meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards, while guiding and supporting two dedicated installation teams (each with an electrician and apprentice).
Key Responsibilities
Act as Technical Supervisor / Nominee for Island Energy’s REC licence in Victoria
Conduct site visits, quality checks, and compliance audits
Review documentation to ensure ESV and Australian Standards are met
Provide technical support and mentoring to the field teams
Oversee safe work practices, testing, and system commissioning
Liaise with management and clients to support project delivery and problem-solving
Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and compliance processes
About You
Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (ESV) – essential
Solar & Battery accreditation (CEC) required; Off-Grid accreditation desirable (training provided if needed)
Strong understanding of AS/NZS standards, electrical compliance, and safety systems
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Organised, dependable, and comfortable working autonomously
Valid driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia
