Kleinfelder’s Geotechnical Engineering team recently undertook a scope of Geotechnical Investigation at a site with known bonded asbestos and lead-contaminated soils, requiring careful planning, robust safety procedures, and experienced personnel to navigate the challenging conditions.

Thanks to the team's expertise and practical problem-solving approach, the investigation was completed safely and efficiently, helping to keep our client's project moving forward.

With the sun shining during dust suppression activities, the fine mist spray created an unexpected reward - a rainbow - perfectly captured in this image, highlighting the great work happening on site.

This image captures Kleinfelder’s Ecology team in the field undertaking a w**d mapping project across a large site area.

Before stepping on site, the team took a smarter approach and combined desktop study with drone imagery to identify target w**d locations and prioritise areas requiring detailed assessment. This upfront planning helped maximise efficiency in the field, ensuring time and resources were focused where they would deliver the greatest value to our client.

Shannah brings over 25 years of experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary environmental projects across Australia’s infrastructure, energy, and resources sectors. Shannah is a trusted leader, known for guiding complex projects from early feasibility and approvals through to construction and operations, with a strong focus on achieving practical, compliant environmental outcomes.

Throughout her career, Shannah has held key leadership roles on major projects throughout the country and has contributed to the success of renewable energy, transmission lines, transport and mining projects. Her strengths lie in shaping effective approvals pathways, navigating environmental requirements with confidence, and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams on strategic and challenging programs.

With experience across emerging sectors such as battery storage, hydrogen and large-scale renewables, Shannah brings valuable insight to the evolving energy landscape, supported by strong capability in environmental management systems and Environmental Management Plans development.
