When I was 100% on the tools. It felt like every year, it snuck up on me. I'd have all year to think of ways to improve or streamline my exterior cleaning business.
Then a little bit if a l*l in winter which would have been the best time to implement it.
But every year, boom. It wouldn't be till I was swamped with calls and bookings that'd I'd wished I'd implemented a new system, a new setup, an upgraded piece of equipment. Whatever. To improve my business.
Being mostly in the shop now has allowed a better perspective.
The crews nearly booked for the year.
But the call volumes just beginning to pick up. Spring rush is just starting, we've made some changes abd upgrades...... have you?
My crews not expanding.
We're happy where we are.
But if you're still a growing exterior cleaning business ask yourself;
Will I buy that extra equipment, upgrade that booking system, increase my prices, get that second setup now, while we're still in the calm before the storm?
Or in a month or two when it will be harder and more stressful?
Now is the time to order a small stockpile of the chems you need in your garage.
Now is the time to implement any equipment improvements.
Don't get me wrong we'll always try out best to fit last minute fitouts in, and keep as much equipment in stock as possible.
But plenty of people leave it till Friday arvo to finally pull the pin on something thats going to make them more money Monday morning, and it often leads to stress and disappointment.
Shipping takes time. Equipment takes time to build once plans are finalised.
Think about the opportunity cost if you delay.
Plan. Act. And go get em ππ€
