This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, All In, is a call for all Australians to play a part in building respectful relationships and a more united future.

Across our Renascent offices this week and last, team members came together to listen, learn and reflect through conversations and presentations that shared personal experiences, perspectives and stories from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

These sessions created important opportunities for connection across our teams and reminded us that reconciliation is strengthened through open conversations, greater understanding and ongoing action.

National Reconciliation Week also marks two significant moments in Australia’s history. The 1967 Referendum and the Mabo decision, recognising the progress made and the work still ahead.

A special thank you to Edward Smart and Luke Sainthill who contributed their time, knowledge and voice throughout the week.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands we work on across Australia and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

53 villas. 17,000m². Two regional NSW towns. Delivered at the same time.

Renascent Regional completed Stage 4 at Oak Tree Dubbo and Mudgee, executing concurrent builds across two live retirement villages while bringing both masterplans to completion.

Built within operational environments, the projects demanded precise staging, tight site control and strong coordination to keep both sites progressing in parallel without disrupting residents.

The result is scale delivered efficiently. More than 50 homes across two locations, handed over defect-free with minimal impact to existing communities.

For the client, it meant faster delivery, fewer post-completion issues and two fully realised villages ready for growth.

Hundreds of miles of miles nothing. Just the occasional road train or camel to keep him company. David Woolsey continues on his pushbike, halfway between Perth and Melbourne, raising money for brain cancer research.

No rest days.
14 consecutive days.
3,500km across Australia.

And he’s doing it all to raise funds and awareness for Carrie Bickmore’s Beanies for Brain Cancer charity.

Brain cancer remains one of Australia’s deadliest cancers and the leading disease killer of children in Australia. Every kilometre Dave rides is helping fund critical research and support families facing the unimaginable.

He’s now in South Australia, battling fatigue, sore legs, headwinds and the mental challenge that comes with spending 10+ hours a day in the saddle.

Now’s the time to get behind him.

If you can spare a donation, no matter the size, it would mean a lot and goes directly toward an incredibly important cause.

You can also follow the journey live, track the ride and cheer Dave on as long road home to Melbourne!

Donate and follow the ride here:

Let’s help him hit that fundraising goal.

If you reckon kids are loud, you should hear a demo saw cut through a reinforced slab.

Schools are learning environments, and that needs to remain the priority. So, managing noisy works on school projects is a key consideration in developing the methodology and programme for delivery.

By collaborating with educational leaders before and during the project, we find smart ways of limiting the negative impacts of education projects.

Learning comes first. That’s why we deliberately move the most disruptive works out of school hours, focusing on weekends and holiday periods.

Bringing this boutique display suite to life in the heart of Newstead. Driven by a focus on quality delivery and backed by a strong procurement network, this project sets a high standard from the outset.

This also marks our first partnership with Fortis in Queensland, the beginning of what’s shaping up to be a strong and exciting collaboration.

Great things ahead.

Ride a bicycle from Perth to Melbourne?

Most people: no chance.
Dave Woolsey: “Yeah, why not?”

Any excuse to get into some lycra.

From 9–23 May, our Melbourne GM is cycling 3,500km from Perth to Melbourne to raise money for the Carrie Bickmore Beanies for Brain Cancer charity.

That’s 14 days. No rest days. Serious pain and discomfort and a whole lot of determination.

All to raise funds and awareness for one of Australia’s deadliest cancers.

This ride is about backing critical research and supporting families facing brain cancer. It’s big. It’s brutal. And it matters.

Head to P2M4BC.COM and click on the “donate now” button to help Dave get closer to his goal.

And yes — the Melbourne office will still be running.

The invisible risks are often the ones you need to worry about the most.

On hospital projects, behind tightly sealed doors, infection control dominates over almost all other risk mitigation measures.

Physical, mechanical, operational, and behavioural approaches all play a role in ensuring the safety of immunosuppressed and immunocompromised patients.

We love surprises!
Just not in construction.

Because on a live project, a “surprise” usually sounds like:
“Wait… when did that happen?”
“Who knew about this?”

That’s why we focus on keeping everyone in the loop.
Consistent updates. Clear visibility. No chasing.

If something’s coming, you know about it.

No surprises. No drama. Just projects that run the way they should.

🤫 Shhhhhhhh

Did you know Renascent built libraries?

Embracing modern requirements for these spaces (fewer bookshelves, more collaborative workspaces), we’ve developed future-focused libraries from Perth to the eastern seaboard.

And in true library-style, we’ve been quiet while we’re doing it! Building these projects on active campuses has required a sympathetic approach to construction that limits noise to facilitate learning.
