Auroch's (ASX: AOU) recently acquired Saints and Leinster nickel projects provides existing nickel sulphide resources as well as multiple drill-ready targets to be systematically tested in H2 2019. Following an exhaustive, world-wide search for quality assets to supply renewable energy markets, Auroch have secured three (3) key projects:
- Tisová Cobalt Copper Gold Project (option to acquire 100%
): located in the Czech Republic. Tisová is located in the heart of the European industrial hub, has a long history of copper production with mine infrastructure in place and recent sampling carried out by Auroch has confirmed the presence of Cobalt. Auroch is currently carrying out its initial drilling program.
- Karibib Li Project (100%): Located in Namibia, this project gives us immediate upside potential in the rapidly evolving lithium market. The Project is situated next door to two (2) of Namibia’s high-grade historic lithium producing mines, Rubikon and Helikon. Namibia is a mining friendly country, host to Rio Tinto, Glencore, Vedanta and De Beers. With a strong financial position, Auroch aims to add its name to the list of companies working in the region as it looks to rapidly identify and test large lithium bearing pegmatites, similar in age and style to historic producing mines.
- ‘Land of the Giants’ – Alcoutim Cu-Zn Project (earning 75%): Situated on the Iberian Pyrite Belt in Portugal, amongst several of the world’s largest VMS deposits (Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag-Au), the potential to discover a world class deposit here is real. The fact our tenement occurs directly along strike from Neves Corvo (>200 Mt of Cu-Zn resources), has the same geologic package of rocks, and has multiple coincident: gravity, EM and magnetics targets highlights its prospectivity. Portugal is a modern European country with first class infrastructure, efficient power and communication networks, easily accessible ports and airports, judicial security, and transparent mining laws. There are multiple currently operating large mines and exploration activity is at a high level considering the relative small extent of the country (92,2000 Km2).
