After a few weeks of taking things slow due to an injury, I’m happy to say I’m now almost fully back into it and ready to hit the ground running heading into the new year.

I’ll be taking a short break from 19–29 December, but after that I’ll be available again — with limited days over the New Year period however, I’ll be doing my best to fit in as much work as possible.

A few of the jobs from the week thats been (and still to come) 🤩🤩

🔧 Swapped out a failed compressor in a Nissan Maxima

🔧 Fixed an electronic valve in a Hyundai compressor – saved the customer heaps from the $1,400 that was quoted elsewhere

🔧 Lined up an excavator service for tomorrow as well as some more A/C repairs!

Been a couple of busy weeks for me from forklifts, Cars or Trucks and now that it’s starting to warm up starting to see more A/C jobs, and seeing more misdiagnosed systems.

Everyone makes mistakes and that I get, but some of the “diagnosed” vehicles I’ve seen appear to be more of a money grab then anything.

So are you being told your car A/C needs costly repairs and it doesn’t?

This is why I do $100 Diagnostics on A/C systems before we do any “regassing” or repairs.
To make it easier this is included in the price given for a regas or repairs, and still cheaper than any mobile service I have seen.

Two examples from this year:

❌ $1,800 compressor quoted — found to be just a $400 valve
❌ $2,600 heater box quoted — was just a blocked filter restricting airflow

🌬️ Busy Behind the Scenes! 🚧

The last few weeks have been flat out! Big hours, late nights, and a whole lot of problem-solving to get a major project across the line. Still a few bits to tidy up, but we’re nearly there — finally starting to get back to normal… well, once I finish playing catch-up 😅

With the colder months rolling in, you might be thinking there’s no need to worry about your A/C — but don’t forget, cold air is the quickest and most effective way to clear up foggy windows in the morning!
If your A/C needs a service or repair, now’s a great time to get it sorted. ✅

🔧 And for those keeping an eye on the “little red engine” that’s popped up in some pics lately...

What started as a “quick” engine swap turned into a full-blown mission! From reconditioning the engine to rewiring gauges, sensors, and even sorting out the jet thrusters — one wire in the wrong spot caused hours of headaches. No wonder the previous owner gave up and left it unplugged 😂

Plenty of sleepless nights, but it was a rewarding challenge. That said… I might not be jumping into another one of those projects any time soon!

🌧️ It’s been a wet week, but we’ve still been getting the job done!

Despite the rain towards the end of the week, I’m happy to say we’ve managed to complete most of the scheduled jobs, with just a couple being postponed.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to:

Service & A/C repairs on a “new” Roller 🚜

Replacing spring brake valves on a dinosaur of a Cat Moxy in Brisbane 🛠️

Welding repairs & cooling system cleaning on a truck back up the coast 🔧

This morning kicked off bright and early at 3:30 AM! We had a truck with charging issues and one with an engine light on.
No worries, though – got them all checked out and cleared before leaving the depot. Parts on order and back this Arvo for repairs.
Huge help with those LED work lights that made it all so much easier to see in the early hours! 💡

It’s been a slow start to the week, but things are looking up! I’m heading up to Bundaberg for a couple of days in hopes to chase down some potential work, but will be back at it on the Sunshine Coast next week 💼

Another week in the books, and while it wasn’t huge, it kept me on the move!

From working on a couple of VE Commodores and tow trucks getting there A/C crisp to dealing with forklifts that had their brakes locked and unable to move, and getting some Utes and stationary motor services done — it’s been a busy one.

Looking ahead, there’s still plenty on the horizon with parts ordered for some big jobs in North Brisbane, plus custom parts being measured and built to suit jobs where OEM and aftermarket parts just aren’t available anymore.

Met some new people this week and received excellent feedback, I’m pumped for what’s next. Bring on the challenges of next week!
