One of our team members, Construction Manager Hannah, recently represented Hall at PIANC APAC 2026 in Brisbane, sharing insights from the Outer Island Maritime Infrastructure Project our team delivered.

Her presentation, ‘Field experience: Boat harbour construction and community engagement in Niutao, Tuvalu’, explored the practical realities of delivering maritime infrastructure in a remote island community, with a focus on community engagement.

PIANC is the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure, and the biennial forum brings together port, harbour and maritime professionals from across the Asia-Pacific to exchange knowledge and ideas 🌊

Well done, Hannah, on sharing Hall’s experience and insights with industry peers!

The man. The myth. The legend.

Congratulations to Hall Contracting team member Aaron who has officially clocked up 25 years with the company! 👏

Since joining the team as an Apprentice Diesel Fitter, Aaron has worked his way up the ranks to become Technical Manager. Over the years, he has showcased his skills across Australia, Brunei, Malaysia and the Pacific Islands, mentoring team members and playing a key role in countless projects and equipment refurbishments.

A skilled problem solver and troubleshooter, Aaron has an uncanny ability to think outside the box and find a way to get the job done.

Resourceful, versatile, safety-focused and always up for a laugh, he is an integral part of the team and has helped to shape Hall into the company it is today.

Congratulations on this incredible milestone Aaron! 🎉

In Kiribati, our impact extends beyond the infrastructure we deliver on the ground 🩵

With health services limited in many remote communities, we have engaged Sotero Healthcare to provide emergency medical support for our teams where required and to deliver health education initiatives that support and empower local communities.

In partnership with the Ministry of Information, Communications and Transport, the Ministry of Women Youth Sport and Social Affairs - Kiribati and the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Kiribati, we have recently delivered information and training sessions regarding acute respiratory infections, neonatal resuscitation and gender equality on the island of Nonouti. We are also working together to distribute much-needed first aid supplies to medical clinics across Abaiang, Beru, Nonouti and Tabiteuea South.

We’re proud to support this initiative and look forward to continuing to collaborate with local communities to address the health priorities that matter most to them 🌏

Next stop: Abaiang!

Our team has recently completed emergency dredging and beach renourishment works at Bribie Island. This is a landmark project supported by The Hon. Jarrod Bleijie MP, Deputy Premier of Queensland, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, and Minister for Industrial Relations; and Gerard Coggan, The Queensland Coordinator-General.

Following cyclone-driven breakthroughs that exposed infrastructure along Golden Beach and Diamond Head to wave action and storm surge, Hall was engaged by the Queensland Government to help restore the northern tip of the island.

Working within Pumicestone Passage, our team successfully dredged over 1.1 million cubic metres of sand – the equivalent of around 120,000 truckloads – to rebuild approximately 2km of foreshore.

We’re incredibly proud to have delivered this important project for the Queensland Government and the people of the Sunshine Coast, demonstrating what’s possible when engineering expertise meets the challenges of the natural environment.

Bringing together governments, contractors, consultants and development partners from across the region, the event provides an important platform to discuss the future of infrastructure delivery in the Pacific and strengthen regional collaboration.

With our teams actively delivering dredging and marine infrastructure projects in Kiribati, Tuvalu, the Marshall Islands and beyond, we value the opportunity to connect with industry peers and contribute to conversations that support resilient, long-term outcomes for local communities.

As climate change continues to reshape the future of low-lying Pacific nations like Tuvalu, conversations around adaptation, climate resilience and long-term security have never been more important.

We’re proud to see Hall’s work on the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project - TCAP featured in this recent ABC News article.

From land reclamation to climate-resilient infrastructure, we remain committed to supporting projects that help safeguard communities, culture and livelihoods across the Pacific🌴

🎥Tune in to The Pacific at 6.30pm tonight on ABC Australia or ABC iView to learn more.

Tuvalu is building new land to hold back rising sea levels, but the majority of its people are applying to relocate to Australia. As they do, many are confronting a disturbing question.

Recently, representatives from the Government of Kiribati’s Ministry of Environment, Lands and Agriculture Development toured our dredge Amity and witnessed the dredging operations first hand, reflecting the partnership between Kiribati and Australia in action.

Dredging is happening as part of the infrastructure component of the Pacific Maritime Security Program. Hall is upgrading the wharf and workshop facilities at Betio Port to support the safe and secure berthing for the Guardian-class Patrol Boats, RKS Teanoai II and RKS Tobwaan Mainiku.

It was a pleasure to host the team and showcase the specialised equipment helping to deliver this important infrastructure project for Kiribati.
