Solid effort by the Icy Cool team on this one! 💪❄️

12.5kW Fujitsu Airstage ducted system with 8 outlets, 7 zones, Airtouch 5 and sensors, all installed in a tight roof space, plus a high set 7kW split system.

A big install in a challenging roof space, but the team got it all done and dusted in a day! 🔥❄️

The Icy Cool team recently got a call from a loyal customer requesting a pre-purchase inspection on a restaurant for a new shopfront.

After carrying out a full inspection, we uncovered a long list of hidden issues that could have turned into very expensive surprises down the track. The cold room was running on outdated R22 refrigerant and completely empty of gas, with dodgy wiring throughout, damaged/falling glass doors, missing door seals, and a heavily rusted condenser unit.

We also found the split system draining into a bucket due to a failed condensate pump, along with a leaking punch bowl blower on the underbench refrigeration system.

By identifying these problems before purchase, our customer is now armed with the right information to help negotiate the deal and avoid costly unexpected breakdowns after taking over the business.

Icy Cool was recently called to a local butcher with a warm room display cabinet that just couldn’t hold temperature. After inspecting the system, we found the existing setup was undersized and fitted with incorrect sized pipework for the application. The customer mentioned they’d experienced ongoing issues ever since the original install 3 years ago.

The Icy Cool team upgraded the system with a new Kirby condensing unit along with 28 metres of correctly sized pipework designed to suit the cabinet and application properly. All works were completed after hours, meaning zero downtime for the customer and no interruption to trade.

This old-school cabinet runs purely off a low pressure control with no pump down or electronic controller — keeping it simple and reliable while maintaining ideal meat temperatures.

Another system brought back to life and another happy customer. The team absolutely hit this one out of the park! ❄️🔧

🍻 Another save by the Icy Cool team!

We were recently called out to a local brewery for a second opinion on their glycol chiller. The previous contractor had written the system off, diagnosing a failed compressor due to the unit pumping down.

After a thorough inspection, we found the real issue — a faulty TXV stuck shut.

We supplied and installed a new 26kW fixed or***ce TXV, replaced the filter drier, and recharged the system with fresh R404.

✅ System back up and running
✅ No unnecessary replacement
