MARKET UPDATE

With everything that is happening around the world. I can give you a brief update on steel prices.

CONCRETE
- Mesh and bar are on the way up. 5 to 10% rise in May. June predicted another rise.
- All plastics (chairs, black plastic, etc) upto 50% rise

SCRAP METAL
- When mesh and bar prices start rising. Scrap metal is at a premium. Time to consider selling your scrap metal and cash in.

AUSTRALIAN MADE STEEL
- Still very competitive. Slight price rises with some suppliers. We are sourcing are steel from the companies that are holding there prices.
- Delivery fees have increased, so a slight increase in Australian steel.

IMPORTED STEEL
- Price is up. Depending on who has what stock. Imported steel is roughly selling at the same price as Australian steel.
- With the war going on, some lines are hard to source. With supply going to countries that are building their military and not sending that material to Australia.
- In general imported steel is not going to be the cheapest option going forward.

Overall I anticipate steel prices to rise in the vicinity of 20% in the near future.
