Coolroom construction has started inside Venus citrus’s new 6,300m² refrigerated warehousing facility at Loxton in the Riverland.

Around 6,500m² of concrete has been poured across the building and external areas. The in-ground stormwater system is complete, fire sprinklers are roughed in ahead of the main tanks and the car park is kerbed and ready for asphalt.

Cotton gin operators across Australia are bringing more of the supply chain under their own control, with bale storage built on site to reduce reliance on third-party warehousing, cottonseed stored at scale, and some sites now exporting direct from the gin.

Seed is sold when the market suits rather than at ginning, bales move on the operator's timing, and the gin runs through the season regardless of truck availability. On-site storage also establishes a single chain of custody from gin to port, and with traceability increasingly a condition of market access for global brands and retailers, that carries commercial value in its own right.

Case studies from gins across regional and remote Australia are linked in the comments.

The Northern Territory's first cotton gin operates at Tarwoo Station, 34 km north of Katherine.

Northern Cotton's gin stands 21.5 m high and is built around a 10-tonne gantry crane and a 600 m² basement. The site also includes bale storage and a 97.5 m cottonseed shed holding 10,000 tonnes.

At full 24-hour operation the gin turns out 1,000 bales a day, with capacity for 150,000 to 200,000 bales a year. Growers across the Territory now gin locally and export through Darwin Port instead of trucking raw cotton thousands of kilometres to Queensland.

Full case study in the comments.

Some project sites can't be reached by road. Others are thousands of kilometres from the nearest major city. Every component and trade arrives by barge, icebreaker or long-haul road freight.

Entegra's remote delivery capability is built for this: established supply chains, trusted subcontractor networks and a methodology shaped by the logistical and climatic demands of Australia's most isolated locations.

Our projects include aviation infrastructure in Antarctica, a helicopter hangar on Horn Island in the Torres Strait and the Northern Territory's first cotton gin near Katherine.

At Collarenebri, the Collymongle Gin processes, stores and export-packs cotton without it leaving the site. P&J Harris & Sons runs the 5-stand Lummus gin with an export-registered warehouse on an EPA-accredited site.

Behind the gin sits the storage: 24,000 tonnes of cottonseed capacity across two structures and lint held across five bale storage buildings, all delivered by Entegra as part of a wider portfolio of work across the operation.

With ginning, storage and export packing on one site, the operation sets its own production schedule and keeps quality control in-house.

Open feedlot pens expose cattle to the full load of heat, humidity and dust. Shade cloth and standard gable roofs take the direct sun off their backs but trap stagnant air at cattle level.

The curved roof of the Ridgeback® draws fresh air in through the open pen sides, across the cattle, and out through the ridge vent, carrying heat, humidity and ammonia with it. The design delivers 20% greater airflow than a standard gable, resulting in reduced heat stress, BRD and mortality.

Entegra will be exhibiting at BeefEx 2026 next week.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss the variables shaping your time to weight and cost of gain, and what a healthier, higher-performing herd could return for your operation.

Join us at booth 89-90.

From animal welfare to ADG and efficiency, the Ridgeback® is repeatedly proving its value across Australian feedlots, all the way to the bottom line.

It comes down to consistency. A stable pen environment through heat, humidity and rain means cattle that eat, gain and grade more predictably. Trial data recorded 0.2kg more ADG per head, 0.45kg more dry matter intake per day, and one operation raised marbling scores from mid-7s to high-8s on the same ration.

Beyond the cattle, the covered pen runs more head on less land, captures rainfall for stock water, and keeps the manure dry enough to compost into a by-product, either sold or used to offset fertiliser.

Richers Transport has opened a new 4,200 m² workshop and headquarters in Maryborough, QLD, servicing a fleet of more than 450 units across five Queensland depots.

The facility forms part of a development spanning more than 50,000 m², incorporating a dedicated wash-down bay, fully equipped workshop, spray painting facilities and administration offices.

Entegra designed and constructed the cold-shell structure in collaboration with head contractor IDC Construct, using open-web clear span portal frames to provide column-free floor space for fleet movement and maintenance.

Talia Farms picks, packs, cools and dispatches premium table grapes in a single day.

Advanced rapid-chill pre-cooling at the 7,000m² packhouse and cool room facility in South Australia's Riverland brings fruit from 34°C to 0.5°C within an hour of picking. The cold chain remains unbroken through to truck loading, protecting the shelf life that earns premium prices in Asia-Pacific export markets.

100% of the crop is packed indoors, with the layout following the movement of fruit through every stage of processing. An automated crate delivery system feeds the line, and waste is captured and weighed at each station to track efficiency. Eighty pickers can now harvest 5 hectares in 8 to 9 hours, work that typically takes 24 with conventional field packing.
