My TED talk was published yesterday! I invite you to watch it and remember me in case I die after eating the shards of glass that were just in my British Airways meal.

In the field of bionic robotics, significant progress has been made, particularly in the development of AI-powered bionic animals. This research brings us closer to the mass production of realistic robotic companions in the coming year. This advancement promises to achieve the goal of providing humans with animal companions in a truly innovative way.

For those who love animals but are allergic to pet fur, this technology offers a meaningful solution. It also presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with busy lifestyles who cannot dedicate time to caring for a real pet. Many of these people dream of having a furry friend but struggle with the time and commitment required. Moreover, this technology has the potential to reduce the number of abandoned animals caused by fleeting interest. People could turn on their AI robotic pets when they need companionship and turn them off when they no longer do, helping to decrease the number of neglected or abandoned animals.

By offering a more practical and sustainable option for pet ownership, we can work towards minimizing the number of stray and homeless animals. With these advancements, we hope to contribute to reducing animal suffering and abandonment, providing a solution that balances the joy of companionship with the realities of modern life.
