Huge thanks to Dave Berke — “Good Deal Dave” — for sending the Halliday team a signed copy of his book, The Need to Lead.

Our crew had the privilege of meeting Dave while attending the Echelon Front Extreme Ownership Conference in Sydney 2019, and the impact stuck. (See the photo below — Dave jumped in and ran a 1:1 with our group during the workshop. Unreal access and heaps of value.)

Dave isn’t just an engaging speaker — he’s the real deal. As a former TOPGUN pilot and instructor ... He sits amongst a few that have flown the F/A-18, F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets. He’s operated in some of the highest-pressure environments on earth, where clarity, accountability, and decisive leadership aren’t “nice to have”… they’re survival skills.

That background shows in how he teaches: practical, direct, and built for teams that need to perform when it counts.
