Projects in Motion ▶️ Arlula
Sydney-based Arlula is on a mission to simplify how space data is managed, processed, and utilised. Recently, the company finished developing a new system to standardise satellite imagery across different types of Earth observation (EO) spacecraft.
The Automated Satellite Imaging Programmes technology helps align image datasets with industry standards of interoperability, so they can be used interchangeably among a range of scientific and commercial applications – such as agriculture, mining, and natural disaster management. By making remote sensing data easier to use, Arlula also hopes to create opportunities for new applications and businesses to engage EO technology, increasing its global uptake.
Meanwhile, Arlula's interoperable data offerings are enhancing its machine learning and AI models through more consistent and optimised inputs.
The project was supported by our Moon to Mars Supply Chain program, which helps deliver competitive Australian products into global space supply chains.
