Today I promoted my first black belt, Kayle Kayle Everett
Watching someone grow from white belt to black belt isn't just about technique, it's years of showing up, getting tapped, getting back up, and trusting the process even when progress feels invisible. Kayle did all of that and more.
As a coach, there's no bigger honor than tying a black belt on a student you've watched transform, not just as a grappler but as a person. This belt represents thousands of hours on the mats, countless rounds with training partners, and a commitment that never wavered.
Congratulations, Kayle. Here's to the next chapter, on the mats and off.
