Last year, on a Sunday afternoon, my wife and I faced an unexpected disaster in a national park near Sydney. Our car was trapped in a flash flood caused by heavy rain and started sinking. Terrified and desperate, we wandered through the forest, hoping to find help—but our chances seemed slim...
Then, out of nowhere, a Toyota Hilux appeared with two young Australians inside. Without hesitation, they took us into their car, stayed with us in the storm, and searched for help. After an hour, a kind man with a Nissan Patrol and a recovery winch arrived. The young man took off his shirt, dove into the cold water in the dark, and hooked the cable to our car. With their selfless efforts, our car was pulled out, and we were able to reach the main road.
When we offered to pay for their help, the man simply said, "We are Australians; we must help each other." They even refused our invitation for a homemade Persian dinner, believing that helping others is a human duty.
Today, my wife and I deeply appreciate this kindness and generosity. We feel so grateful to live in Australia, surrounded by such incredible people. You inspire us—thank you!
