As part of this project Gixa Core Cut used the core drill to cut a hole which was 900mm in depth x 350mm in diameter.

In planned situations we would have a custom barrel manufactured to complete the required task. However, due to the unforeseen depth and time restraints we needed to drill with the aid of extension bars. Extension bars can be added to core to an extended depth.

Deep hole drilling is often complicated and extra care is required. A mistake in a deep core hole can cost a lot of time and money.

Core Drilling

Core drilling is performed by hand held or stand mounted drilling equipment where a circular hole is needed. Core holes can be drilled horizontally, vertically as well as inverted.
This service is frequently required for openings for plumbing, electrical and routine cables.

Our core drills can cut holes from 10mm to over 1000mm in diameter. Including an unlimited diameter when using a stitched drilling technique.

Core drilling services are required for walls, ceilings, roofs, bridges, tunnels, and road surfaces.

St Catherine’s School Waverley project for ACE Demolition & Excavation Pty Ltd on Richard Crookes Constructions job site.

Phase 1 involved the cutting and removal of the capping beam and piles to make way for a proposed ramp to provide access into the building for phase 2 works to commence.
