~Job description~
M & Z Sheet Metal are looking for a 1st year apprentice to start immediately based in Minto.
Your week would consist of 4 days on the job and 1 attending TAFE to complete Certificate 3 in Engineering-Fabrication Trade (Sheet metal working)
Your daily duties include, however, are not limited to.
Working with galvanized steel.
Required to measure cut, fold Spot weld and form sheet metal.
Use a variety of tools and machinery, Pan break Folder, Plasma cutter, Spot Welder, Guillotine, and a variety of hand tools
Undertake general housekeeping duties.
Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
In order to be considered for this role, it is recommended you posses the following
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level
The ability to work in different environments, including on and off-site, outdoors, indoors, confined spaces and high-temperature environments
An interest in mechanical principles and concepts
An enthusiasm for practical skills in mechanical trades, fitting and machining
Willing and eager to learn
