Over her 3-year PhD journey, Dr Mingxue Ma has made important contributions to . She developed a dynamic model to understand the supply, demand, and pricing of recycled concrete, uncovering the financial potential of CO2 Concrete. In 2021, Mingxue and team won Gold in the Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, earning a $20,000 prize amidst fierce global competition from 34 teams across 12 countries. 🚀 What's next? She continues her dedication to sustainable innovation, preparing key pitches to drive the CO2 Concrete project forward.

Throughout her PhD journey, Yijun investigated the environmental benefits of replacing virgin concrete with in residential buildings. Her research highlights the tangible environmental benefits of adopting CO2 Concrete in the construction industry.🌱🏢

Using advanced Building Information Modelling ( ) and Life Cycle Assessment ( ) tools, she assessed replacement scenarios, showing a reduction of up to 5.4% in CO2 equivalent emissions per square meter when 100% CO2 concrete is used.🔥
