Vaucluse Project - Trex Island Mist
What we have managed to achieve at our
vaucluse project is an incredible sitting area that our clients can now enjoy at the highest elevated section to their backyard & really admire their surroundings & not to forget that view we accomplished by extending the deck out more to achieve that birds eye view of the waters.
We first arranged for our electrician to disconnect the spa & cap any exposed wires, ensuring we have a safe work space to work with.
We then started by removing the worn out deck & rotted subframe, exposing the distressed spa. Even tho we couldn’t arrange crane access, due to the positioning of the deck & the distance from the front of house, we managed to dispose of the spa by cutting it into multiple pieces to make it movable & dispose of.
Thereafter clearing the area of any debris & rubbish, prep’d the area & readied for our new subframe & steps design.
By clearing out the section we managed to create a larger space by extending the new subframe compared to old, all new joists & barriers, wider steps from the garden onto the platform resulting in the space seen before you.
As per usual we tape all the exposed Timbers (tops of subframe) to ensure no future rotting as this is most prone to rot due to water sitting to the underside of the decking boards.
Any questions or queries for your next decking project, don’t hesitate to ask us & we’ll be happy to assist with the process, design, budgeting & finish product.
