Meet Benny 🔥

Benny’s not just one of Akoonah’s lead carpenters — he’s a lifelong mate of our director, James, and has been with Akoonah since 2021.
With years of experience under his toolbelt, Benny brings precision, passion, and a solid work ethic to every project.

When he’s not on site crafting quality builds, you’ll find him off the grid — camping, exploring, and adventuring with his wife.
A legend on the tools and an all round great bloke off them.

Benny will be taking some time away from the tools as he has recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world! 🥰

Meet Craig “aka Wilko.”

Wilko has been a part of the Akoonah family from the very beginning!

Wilko is a roofer by trade and has known our director James’ since he was playing with Lego.
Completing his roofing apprenticeship in 1978 with James’ great-grandfather it goes without saying Wilko has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to being on a building site.

Wilko is now James’ right-hand man. Helping with daily activities on-site, taking deliveries, and picking up materials, as well as looking after each site and keeping it safe and sound, but look out when it comes to building our roofs; he is in control and brings an old-school perspective and touch to every detail.

On the weekends Wilko doesn’t stop; he loves gardening and helping out his neighbours with the upkeep of their homes. In his downtime he loves checking out the surf and spending time with family and friends!
