🔦 Project Spotlight: Strathfield Residential Upgrade

We recently completed a full HVAC upgrade for a residential property in Strathfield, delivering a modern, energy-efficient solution across both levels of the home.

The project involved removing an existing gas heater and installing a Daikin 16kW underfloor ducted system, along with replacing four wall-mounted split systems upstairs with a 7.1kW ducted air conditioning system.

Given the challenges of installing units underfloor, particularly with modern R32 refrigerant requirements, we specified a Daikin system designed specifically for low-ventilation environments. This ensures safe, compliant operation while maintaining performance.

To maximise efficiency and comfort, we also installed an Advantage Air MyAir smart control system, allowing both units to be managed through a single interface. With individual room sensors and zoning control, airflow is automatically adjusted based on each room’s temperature, with full access available via a mobile app.

The result is a streamlined, energy-efficient system that improves comfort throughout the home while supporting a strong ESS rebate outcome for the client.

🔦 Project Spotlight: Hutchison Ports – Crane HVAC Upgrades

Coral Air recently completed critical air conditioning upgrades across crane electrical rooms at Hutchison Ports, supporting the reliable operation of key infrastructure within Sydney’s import and export network.

Operating in a harsh marine environment, these systems are exposed to constant salt air, extreme winds and elevated conditions approximately 45 metres above sea level. To combat corrosion and extend equipment life, we applied Blygold coil protection.

As part of the upgrade, we also addressed limitations in the original system design. Existing units, pre-fabricated overseas, lacked sufficient return air filtration. We installed new return air boxes with F4 filters to help maintain internal coil condition and improve long-term system performance.

Given the movement of the cranes and exposure to high winds, all outdoor units were secured using custom stainless steel fixings, ensuring durability and stability in a demanding operational environment.

Air conditioning within these electrical rooms is essential to prevent overheating and system failure - helping keep these cranes, and the broader supply chain they support, running efficiently.

A technically complex project, delivered on time and on budget, in a challenging and highly exposed environment.

A huge congratulations to Shaun!

Back in February, Coral Air was proud to sponsor Shaun Lehane as he took on an incredible 28km swim to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Not only did he complete the challenge, he absolutely smashed his fundraising goal, raising an amazing $3,075, well above the original $2,000 target.

Starlight does such meaningful work, helping seriously ill children and their families find moments of joy during incredibly tough times. It’s a cause that truly makes a difference.

We’re proud to have been part of Shaun’s journey - an outstanding effort for an even better cause.
