The Galston 500 is coming up this Saturday 29th August at the Galston Valley Railway.

This fund-raising event challenges teams of locomotives to complete 500 actual kilometres of running, raising money for Multiple Sclerosis research.

Seeing triple!
Up at Track and Tent this month we had a great line up of the "big clyde" locomotives. On the right is one of our 2170 class locomotives, with final paint completed by the owner as "2195" in Bronco livery. In the middle is one of our 2400 class locomotives as "2407" in classic QR Blue. On the right is a privately built 2400 class in the right time at the right place in QR Bicentennial as 2401.
Those with keen eyes will also see one of our "Silverton" locomotives in the background.
We enjoyed Track and Tent this year and thank QSMEE for hosting this event. We'll be back next year!

On this coming weekend QSMEE is hosting their annual Track and Tent event.
Open to all AALS affiliated members, this is a great opportunity to catch up with other model engineers and see all the latest in the hobby.
We will be there with some great new projects on display, plus the chance to take a test drive on one of our new locomotives.

MTS would like to congratulate the Sydney Society of Model Engineers - Model Park Railway - on their successful and final operating day at their Luddenham site.
55 years ago, in 1971, they started operations here after moving from Ashfield. They are now in the process of moving out to the Macarthur/Wollondilly region due to pressures from the Airport development.
We look forward to following their progress as they rebuild in their new site, and wish them the best of luck during this process. Follow their page for the most up-to-date information.
