MTS would like to congratulate the Sydney Society of Model Engineers - Model Park Railway - on their successful and final operating day at their Luddenham site.
55 years ago, in 1971, they started operations here after moving from Ashfield. They are now in the process of moving out to the Macarthur/Wollondilly region due to pressures from the Airport development.
We look forward to following their progress as they rebuild in their new site, and wish them the best of luck during this process. Follow their page for the most up-to-date information.

Pictured here is Don River Railway's locomotive V2 operating a works train in 2025. The TGR V class locomotives were constructed from 1948 with 14 coming into service in the state. These hardworking locomotives proved reliable and 10 still survive at heritage railways across the country.
We construct our miniature version in 1:8 scale, representing the 3ft6 locomotive on 5" gauge, featuring up to 2kw drivetrain packages suitable for heavy loads, whilst still staying an affordable but detailed scale representation of this real-world locomotive.

From our new 2026 Catalogue, we have now also released our new "T" type bogie! This is as 5" gauge heavy-duty bogie intended for passenger service and heavy works vehicles. Based on our "G" bogie used for 7.25" gauge, the "T" bogie will give years of solid service in the harshest conditions.

Available unbraked, with mechanical brakes (shown), or powered with a 450w motor for instant power for your project!

Yes, we also build Freight Wagons! Built with solid steel frames, they are intended to be used for scale-cargo like this, but also can carry serious loads when you need it.
Shown here are a pair of "UME" and "MLE" wagons, based on around 500 constructed in this series in the 1940s and 1950s which saw extensive usage across NSW and included many re-fits.

It's not all about the Locomotives, whether you are giving family a tour of your backyard line, or expecting large crowds at the club, a set of comfortable and reliable passenger carriages are an important part of your railway experience.
We build enclosed and straddle carriages for home and club use.
These feature Vacuum, Air, Electric, or Unbraked versions, along with Guards-Raised Seats, for both 5" and 7.25" gauges.
