Pre-Construction Administration & Reception

Jadco Homes & Totalspan Penrith are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable person to join our Penrith office.

This is a part-time Monday–Friday position, approximately 10am–3pm, with some flexibility available by negotiation.

The role would particularly suit someone looking for school-hours work, an experienced administrator wanting to return to the workforce, or someone with office experience who is interested in developing a career within the residential building industry.

THE ROLE

Working with our Jadco Homes and Totalspan teams, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reception and answering incoming phone calls
• Handling initial customer enquiries
• General administration and data entry
• Assisting with preparation and lodgement of Council and building applications
• Tracking applications and following up outstanding information and approvals
• Communicating with clients, councils, certifiers and consultants
• Maintaining accurate customer and project records
• Filing, document management and general office duties
• Assisting the team with day-to-day pre-construction administration

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is:

✔ Reliable and punctual
✔ Friendly, professional and confident communicating with customers
✔ Well organised with good attention to detail
✔ Self-motivated and able to follow tasks through to completion
✔ Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
✔ Able to manage several tasks and priorities at once
✔ Happy working independently while also being part of a small team
✔ Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Previous experience in an administration, reception or customer service role would be preferred.

Experience within a residential building, construction, council, certifier, conveyancing or property-related office would be a definite advantage, but is not essential. We are happy to provide additional training to the right person with the right attitude and aptitude.

🕙 Hours: Approx. 10am–3pm, Monday to Friday
📅 Start: Available immediately

This is a varied role where you won’t simply be answering phones. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the pre-construction and building approval process and become an important part of moving our customers’ projects from enquiry towards construction.
