HISTORY -
Founded in Sydney's Northern Beaches in 1947 as an exhibitions and display stand provider, EDA Australasia has evolved to become a full service industry leader in the retail space, designing, engineering, manufacturing and installing end to end point of sale solutions for some of the biggest brands in the world. The business evolved solely to a Point of Sale Solutions provider in 1982,
and is now owned by John Atwill who has been with the business since 1986. CHINA EXPANSION -
In 2007, EDA Australasia established a joint venture with a manufacturer in Ningbo, China, enabling the business to produce and fully assemble large complex units for export to Australasia. Then in 2012 EDA Australasia implemented its next stage of strategic growth, and relocated its factory to a larger site, where it has since expanded three‐fold. In addition, EDA Australasia also uses a large number of suppliers based in China. EDA conducts a large portion of its manufacturing in China which enables the business to export worldwide from there. The company also has a local manufacturing facility in Australia. With exact engineering capabilities, combined with ownership of these manufacturing facilities in Asia and Australia, EDA is able to provide exact precision end‐to‐end point of sales solutions right across the Asia Pacific region. The Company has achieved significant growth over the past few years, and is on track to reach its goal to grow the business via expansion into Asia and through building on the company’s expertise within new categories and brands. The next phase of EDA Australasia’s strategic growth will incorporate client acquisition in the Asian consumer goods and retail markets, particularly in the Health and Beauty industries. To support this, EDA Australasia have launched offices in Shanghai and Singapore.
