Every steel detailing drawing needs to comply with the right standards. Here's a quick reference.

AS 4100: Steel structures. The primary standard for structural steelwork design and fabrication in Australia.

AS 3600: Concrete structures. Applies when steel interfaces with concrete (embedments, hold down bolts, base plates).

NCC: National Construction Code. Sets performance requirements that the structural design must satisfy.

AS/NZS 1554: Welding standards. Defines welding categories and inspection requirements for structural steelwork.

When your detailer understands these, drawings are accurate and compliant from the start. Save this for reference.
