What a wonderful way to mark National Reconciliation Week!

We recently hosted a Lunch & Learn session with our long-time community partner Dandjoo Darbalung and students Tom, Maddie and Charlee.

Our team loved hearing firsthand about the incredible work being done by Dandjoo Darbalung to support Indigenous students through:

Academic success

Cultural strength

Leadership development

Since 2012, they’ve done amazing things - supporting more than 80 current residents from 30+ communities and building a network of 400+ proud alumni.

Thank you for sharing your stories and inspiring us all!

Our graduate cohort recently teamed up with Anglicare’s Thread Together for a volunteer day.

Thread Together partners with fashion retailers to provide new clothing to people in need, helping to restore dignity and self-esteem. The service collects end-of-line, brand new stock and distributes it through a national network of registered charities and social service agencies.

Our team got to see firsthand how this program supports our local communities of Laverton, Leonora and Kalgoorlie.

Investing in our communities and empowering the next generation of leaders is how we ensure a lasting, positive legacy for the regions we call home.

Our Tropicana and Sunrise Dam Emergency Response Teams just crushed it at the The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia - CMEWA's Mines Surface Emergency Response Competition in Kalgoorlie!

Out of 14 elite teams from across WA, our crews proved they are among the best in the business:

Tropicana Highlights
• Crowned Best New Team!
• Jacob Watkins-Kerr: Best New Captain
• 5th Place Overall & 3rd in Team Safety

Sunrise Dam Highlights
• Jordin Sugden-Ware: Best Individual Theory Award
• Podium Finishes: 2nd in First Aid, Vertical Rescue, and Breathing Apparatus
• 7th Place Overall & 3rd Best New Team

A massive shoutout to Northern Star KCGM for taking the overall win - good luck representing WA in Victoria next year!

We could not be prouder of the dedication and skill shown by our teams.

We're only one day away from the The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia - CMEWA Surface Mine Emergency Response Competition!

Our teams from Tropicana and Sunrise Dam have been training hard to compete against 14 of the state's best at the Hannans North Tourist Mine in Kalgoorlie tomorrow and Sunday.

This event is a gruelling test of skill, teamwork, and composure in high-pressure environments.

We wish them all the best across the massive two days and have no doubt they will make us proud.

We just wrapped up our first family day of 2026 at our Tropicana Gold Mine.

There is nothing quite like watching our team showing their loved ones exactly where the magic happens.

This month, we welcomed more than 100 family members for an exclusive look at life on site.

From the “wow” moments at the pit lookout to the thrill of exploring the massive mining fleet, it was a day to remember.

The highlights

· Getting up close with the mining equipment.

· Feeling the weight of a real gold bar.

· Fun and games back at the mine village.

We’re already counting down the days until we do it all again in July! 🗓️

A huge thank you to our incredible site administration teams and business partners Macmahon, National Jet Express, and Compass Group ESS for making this day so special for our families.

Lest we forget.

Honoring the spirit of the ANZACs at our Tropicana and Sunrise Dam Gold Mines on Saturday.

Our teams gathered for the dawn service on ANZAC Day to pay their respects to those who served and sacrificed.

A moving start to the day and a proud moment of reflection for everyone.

Turning a challenge into community impact.

When heavy rainfall temporarily closed the road to our Tropicana Gold Mine recently, our team moved quickly to ensure fresh food didn’t go to waste - instead redirecting it to Foodbank in Kalgoorlie.

Thanks to their initiative and coordination, a large volume of produce was donated, including fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as chilled items like milk, yoghurt and cream.

A great example of teamwork, quick thinking and our commitment to supporting the communities where we operate.

Great conversations, strong leadership and plenty of inspiration.

We recently welcomed 12 students from Eastern Goldfields College and the Clontarf Foundation team to our Perth office for a Lunch and Learn session.

Visiting as part of their annual Leadership Camp, the group shared insights into their journey - and where they’re headed next.

We’re proud to have supported the Clontarf Foundation since 2009, backing a program that’s making a real difference in education, employment, and life outcomes for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.

Even better - several students are already setting their sights on careers in mining.

Thanks to the Clontarf team for the visit, and for the incredible work you do building confidence, capability, and future opportunities.

It was great to connect with so many bright, future industry leaders across our recent career fair events.

From the 700-strong AusIMM UWA x Curtin University Student Meets Industry Night to the Kalgoorlie Careers Fair at Curtin University, the UEC Networking Breakfast, UWA Industry Analysis Night, and the Barminco Student Meets Industry Night in Kalgoorlie, it’s been a fantastic few weeks connecting with students passionate about mining and resources.

A highlight was Curtin University in Kalgoorlie, where around 160 students attended, with an impressive 90% studying mining engineering - a strong sign of the talent pipeline shaping our industry’s future.

Across every event, we had valuable conversations about career pathways, industry opportunities, and what it takes to thrive in mining today.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with our team.
