I 3D scanned this pretty little piece of coral for the archives of the Maritime museum. Helping to record and document natural history with this technology is very cool, but working to preserve real living, and critically endangered reef systems is still way cooler...

I found a 3D scan of this beautiful relief from the Eremitani Museum, Italy. Printed in resin, then moulded and cold cast in copper. Now to add the patina but which colour?
