Terence Jets

Terence Jets Terence Jets Pty Ltd is an aerospace engineering start-up company established in 2017 by Terry Burton, an aerospace engineer and the company’s director.

Terence Jets is an aerospace engineering start-up company developing a unique jet aerobatic aircraft, the UltraJet1672A, for the air racing and private aviation markets. Terry designed the UltraJet1672A aircraft and with a significant amount of engineering work completed, Terence Jets is now in the business phase of taking the UltraJet1672A forward in the Air Racing and Private Aviation markets. T

erry has over 25 years of aerospace engineering experience, having worked for Hawker de Havilland in Australia and for Boeing in the America. During his undergraduate studies he designed, manufactured and tested the world's smallest gas turbine engine, for which he was awarded the Guinness Book of World Record's in 1996. From his childhood, Terry had a passion for aviation and a dream of flying a jet aerobatic aircraft, and he left work in 2008 to focus full time on the Terence Jets venture. The UltraJet1672A is a small, ultra-high-performance lightweight aerobatic jet aircraft that has a unique shape and configuration. It has the flying capabilities of a modern military jet fighter while being less complex due to its small size, simplified aircraft structure and its basic electrical and mechanical systems architecture. The UltraJet1672A, UJ1672A in short, is defined with “UltraJet” and “UJ” representing the aircraft’s ultra-high-performance, “1672” for Terry’s birthdate and “A” for the first aircraft version. The idea of a high performance aerobatic jet aircraft has been around for a long time but has not been achieved due to multiple factors, including poor design, large size and high purchase and operating costs. The UJ1672A has been designed with these factors in mind and proven aerospace methods and technologies have been used to ensure feasibility, reliability and safety. The UJ1672A’s design and size also mean it can be delivered at a substantially lower cost that is comparable to sport and recreational aircraft. With no direct competitor, and with the UJ1672A being an aerobatic jet unlike anything out there, it will bring the thrill of a military jet fighter to recreational flyers and open the door to the pinnacle of air racing. With a substantial amount of engineering design work completed, it is now time to move this venture forward and take the UJ1672A to the marketplace. To do this, Terry needs to work with a team of business/entrepreneurial people where together we will build upon the engineering foundation. Over a period of 12 months starting in 2024, we will strategically explore and pursue business opportunities, such as working with established corporations and high-profile individuals to see the UJ1672A establish the leading air racing motorsport and examine different commercial options in the private aviation market. By the end of 2024, we will know the direction for the future of the UJ1672A and Terence Jets. For further information please contact Terry on 0410 232 291 or at [email protected].
