Hi, I’m Steve. I’ve been a SolarCloud solar owner for some time now and after seeing how well it worked I recently decided to buy another 1kW on top of my original 5kW share, and will be definitely adding more as finances allow over the coming years.

I’m a renter, so I can’t put solar panels on my own roof. SolarCloud solved that for me. The credits go straight onto my AGL electricity bill — the most recent one was just over $100 — and because it’s transferable, I can take the benefit with me if I move or pass it on later.

I’ve also got a home battery system and I’m on AGL’s Night Saver EV plan. I charge the batteries overnight between 12am and 6am when the rate is very low, then use that stored power during the day. The cheap overnight rate applies to all my usage in that window, not just the car.
