The big snowstorm last year caused significant damage to the roof at Ampol Guyra, with signage and other fixtures coming down in the process.

The boys have been working hard on restoring the damage and getting the site back into order. Great effort by the team putting in the work to help bring it back to life

The team completed an emergency make Safe at a fuel station after a over hight truck collided with the roof over the fuel bowsers causing significant damage.

The fabrication team are currently building a new canopy for the Client.

Early this morning, 25/12/2025, at approximately 4:30am, H&E Civil Contractors received an urgent emergency call advising that Santa Claus’ sleigh had become severely bogged in soft sand along the beachfront at Coffs Harbour.

Given the time-critical nature of the incident and the importance of maintaining Christmas operations, our 24-hour emergency response team was immediately deployed. Multiple units attended the scene with heavy recovery equipment, lighting, and ground support to assess site conditions and recovery options.

Upon arrival, crews identified that the sleigh had lost traction due to unstable sand conditions, compounded by a heavily loaded sleigh and repeated attempts to self-recover, which further worsened the bogging situation. A controlled recovery plan was implemented to ensure no damage to the sleigh, reindeer, or surrounding environment.

During the course of investigations into the circumstances leading up to the incident, it is believed Santa may have been slightly over-refreshed, likely due to the generous volume of alcoholic beverages left out for him across hundreds of homes overnight. Fatigue, combined with holiday cheer, appears to have contributed to the incident 🎅🍺

The sleigh was successfully recovered without incident, Santa was cleared to continue operations, and Christmas deliveries resumed shortly thereafter.

We’d like to thank Santa Claus for trusting H&E Civil Contractors once again and for giving us the opportunity to assist during one of the busiest nights of the year.

The T600 water truck project left the yard today heading to work.

We bought this truck site unseen in Brisbane and when we arrived, there was more rust in it then the titanic! Not even sure it would make it home🤣

504 labour hours later between 4 people, she's on the road doing what she was intended to do!

Another Full Lawn Restoration Completed 🌱

Our team recently completed a full lawn restoration project, transforming an old and tired yard into a fresh, vibrant outdoor space.

This job included:
✅ Complete removal and strip of the existing lawn to provide a clean, level base
✅ Supply and installation of finely screened topsoil to encourage healthy root growth and improve drainage
✅ Laying of 160sqm of freshly cut premium turf, carefully levelled and compacted for a flawless finish
✅ Final roll and watering to assist with establishment and ensure long-lasting results
