One of the most unique parts of The Banya House is the dedicated wellness space.

A traditional wood-fired banya sauna, cold bucket and ice bath, full shower room, hot tub, and an infinity pool set out over the alpine landscape.

Built around the simple ritual of hot and cold therapy — a place to slow down, reset, and take in the surroundings.

Heat up, cool off, and repeat — all with the mountains as your backdrop.

The Banya House.

A project that pushed boundaries from start to finish — complex, detailed, and incredibly rewarding to bring to life.

This Western Red Cedar log home is a true ode to the alpine environment we’re lucky to call home. A custom build that shows what’s possible when vision, trust and craftsmanship all come together.

We’re incredibly grateful to our clients for backing the process, embracing the detail, and giving us the freedom to deliver something truly unique. Projects like this don’t happen without that level of trust.

A huge effort from everyone involved, especially our team at Wallaby Homes — the carpenters and labourers who put in the hard yards to bring it all together.

Big shout out to Alpine Log & Timber Homes for supplying the log package — a key part of what makes this home what it is.

Safe to say… this one’s pretty special.

Meet Sam & Lisa – the husband-and-wife team behind Wallaby Homes

We’re a family-owned business with a passion for tackling unique and challenging projects. The harder the build, the more excited we get. Our goal is to give every client a personalised and enjoyable experience—turning bold visions into lasting homes.

Sam brings over 17 years of hands-on experience to the table. Starting as a carpentry apprentice at 15, then working as a carpenter and later site supervisor for volume builders, he’s gained a wide knowledge of all aspects of the trade—something that’s invaluable when choosing the right builder.

While Sam and the team bring plans to life on site, Lisa keeps things running seamlessly behind the scenes—managing bookkeeping, payroll, marketing, and client communications.

When we’re not building, you’ll find us out on the trails running or mountain biking, or spending time with our two energetic kids.

Say hi to Hista — our positive, hard-working, ray-of-sunshine first-year apprentice ☀️

Originally from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, Hista has called this community home for the past 13 years. These days, he’s balancing life on site with life as a new dad to baby Sweet Sage.

When he’s not working with the team, Hista enjoys hosting friends, spending time with his partner Ily, and making jewellery.

What he loves most about working at Wallaby Homes? The close-knit, family feel — and learning something new every single day.

Jack is one of our skilled labourers and a true jack of all trades. Whether he's working with timber or steel, or getting stuck into landscaping, he brings versatility and energy to every job.
Off the tools, you’ll find Jack chasing adventure — mountain biking, dirt biking, snowboarding or exploring the High Country in his 4WD.
