Welcoming Greg Pawley to UGM

We’re pleased to welcome Greg Pawley back to the business, joining UGM as Manager, Mining Services.

Greg is a highly experienced mining professional with a strong background in both underground and surface coal operations. He previously worked with us from 2017 to 2022 as Group Business Manager – Underground Services, and brings with him deep operational insight, a clear understanding of our workforce and clients, and a sharp focus on capability, performance and long-term sustainability.

In his new role, Greg will play a key part in leading our labour and mine services teams, with a focus on stabilising and strengthening service delivery across UGM sites.

“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the business and continuing the work of building strong teams, reliable service, and supporting the long-term sustainability of UGM,” Greg says.

Greg began his career as a 16-year-old apprentice, going on to build decades of experience in the mining sector through dedication, grit and leadership. Outside of work, Greg enjoys martial arts and is currently training toward a black belt in Aikido. He and his wife have three adult daughters, who they love travelling to visit.
