In partnership with the FKG Group developments team and Obadare Group, GFG Projects delivered the second stage of the strategic upgrade and expansion of Obadare’s existing manufacturing facility in Toowoomba.

The project added a new 1,254m² fabrication workshop and 398m² blast booth facility, significantly increasing fabrication capacity and creating a more efficient environment for Obadare’s growing operations servicing the resource sector across the Darling Downs and beyond.

With two 16-tonne overhead gantry cranes, large-format access doors, natural light and improved ventilation, the new facility was designed around the demands of heavy fabrication - while creating a better workspace for the people using it every day.

A practical upgrade, built to support continued growth.

The doors are officially open at The Bower Hotel in Toowoomba - marking the transformation of the iconic Shamrock Hotel into a completely reimagined hospitality destination.

Our team was proud to deliver this major refurbishment, involving staged demolition and a complete rethink of the existing layout and design to create a fresh, contemporary venue with expanded floor space and a distinctive new look.

The Bower features a brand-new kitchen, bistro, sports bar and gaming lounge, alongside upgraded amenities, outdoor areas, landscaping, and weatherproof spaces designed to make the venue more comfortable and enjoyable year-round.

With parts of the existing venue remaining operational throughout construction, the project required careful staging, coordination and planning from start to finish.

Congratulations to the team behind this remarkable transformation. The finished result is something truly special, and we're proud to have played a part in bringing the next chapter of this local icon to life.

A major external refresh for Fitness Cartel. 💪

GFG Projects transformed the external areas surrounding Fitness Cartel’s new Toowoomba gym facility, upgrading the site to create a safer, more functional and accessible environment.

The works included:
• Replacement of approximately 2,800m² of asphalt car parking
• New concrete retaining walls replacing ageing timber infrastructure
• New stormwater, fire hydrant and water main infrastructure
• Upgraded vehicle access and crossovers
• New landscaping and planting throughout the site

From the ground up, the upgrade has given the existing property a fresh new look while delivering the infrastructure needed to support its next chapter.

And while we were focused on the outside, we couldn’t help but share a peek at what’s happening inside… 👀 How good does this place look?! Great work, Fitness Cartel team!

There’s no better measure of a project than seeing the difference it makes in people’s lives.

Months after completing Mangrove Housing’s The Forgotten Women program in Capalaba, we’re incredibly proud to see 15 women aged over 55 who had experienced homelessness settling into these safe and secure homes.

As the builder, we’re proud to have played our part in delivering a development that provides more than just a place to live.

For GFG Projects, being part of projects that make a genuine difference in the communities where we live and work is something we value deeply. It’s about using what we do to help create places that have a lasting and positive impact on people’s lives.

To now see that impact firsthand is incredibly rewarding, and a reminder of why what we build matters.

The project was featured on A Current Affair, shining a light on the women, their stories and the importance of providing safe and secure housing.

Winner, winner! 🏆 GFG Projects is proud to have taken home a Master Builders Award for the RDO Equipment Emerald facility, winning its category at the Central Queensland awards night.

It was a great night celebrating alongside the RDO Equipment team, and a pretty special moment for everyone involved in delivering this one.

The purpose-built facility features a central office, expansive showroom, parts warehouse, workshop, wash bay and hardstand area – all delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.

It’s been a privilege to partner with RDO Equipment Australia once again – and even more special to see another RDO Equipment project recognised at the Master Builders Awards, following the success of the Toowoomba facility in its own awards year.

We’re incredibly proud of the GFG Projects team whose hard work, collaboration and attention to detail helped bring the Emerald project to life.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

We're pleased to support our Executive Chairman, Gary Gardner, and his Match It for Momentum campaign in support of Momentum Mental Health.

Gary has committed to personally match every dollar donated, up to the value of one year's Councillor salary, helping double the impact of every contribution made by our community.

Creating a stronger industry means looking after the people who make it what it is. At FKG Group, we're passionate about advocating for better mental health across the construction industry and supporting initiatives that make help more accessible.

If you're able to support this initiative, we encourage you to get involved. Together, we can help Momentum Mental Health continue providing vital services to people across our region.

Community is built in many ways, and supporting local events is one of them.

GFG Projects was proud to sponsor the Condamine Cods Ladies Day, an event that brought together more than 300 attendees from across the Western Downs to celebrate country rugby, community spirit and the connections that make regional communities so strong.

With the Condamine Cods taking on Dalby, it was a fantastic day of great rugby, great company and plenty of community pride. We're pleased to support events that strengthen local clubs, bring people together and contribute to the communities where we live and work.

Thirty years in the industry is an achievement. Thirty years with the same group of companies is something pretty special.

Congratulations to our Site Manager, Heath Gniel, on reaching 30 years with FKG Group.

Since joining GFG Projects, Heath has become a key part of our team, bringing decades of practical experience, strong leadership and a no-fuss approach to every project. He's someone who gets on with the job, leads by example and is always willing to back the people around him.

Having people like Heath on our projects is something we don't take for granted. The experience he brings, the standards he sets and the way he works all contribute to the quality we're known for.

Congratulations on a fantastic milestone, Heath, and thanks for everything you bring to the GFG Projects team.
