Perched in Gormans Gap Estate, Preston, this custom residence was designed from the ground up to face east and embrace sweeping valley views toward Brisbane. Every decision from the positioning of the living areas to the choice of materials was made in response to the site.

The result is a home that feels genuinely connected to its surroundings: rammed earth, polished concrete, and Knotwood cladding coming together to create something warm, considered, and unmistakably Queensland.

The best sustainable features are the ones you barely notice - because the home just feels right.

This Preston home was designed with passive principles at its core. Its eastern orientation welcomes soft morning light while shielding the interior from harsh afternoon sun. The rammed earth wall acts as a natural thermal buffer, absorbing heat through the day and releasing it gradually overnight. Add hydronic underfloor heating and quality insulation, and you have a home that's genuinely comfortable year-round - without working against its environment to get there.

From dated to stunning… this residential renovation in Middle Ridge is a testament to what thoughtful design and skilled construction can achieve.

We undertook a comprehensive transformation of an existing home - reconfiguring the layout, opening up living spaces, and upgrading everything from the kitchen and bathrooms through to the street frontage.

The result? A modern, high-performing family home that respects the character of the streetscape while delivering a fresh, contemporary feel throughout.

This custom Rangeville home was designed around one defining idea - frame the view and let the landscape do the rest.

Positioned on an elevated site with an uninterrupted eastern outlook, every element of the design, from the layout of the living spaces to the engineering of the glazing, was driven by that connection to the natural environment. The result is a contemporary family home that's as striking architecturally as it is comfortable to live in.

The feature rammed earth wall at this Preston home is the architectural heart of the project.

Achieving the structural performance, visual consistency, and clean junctions this material demands required specialised techniques, precision, and a team that genuinely takes pride in their work. Paired with polished concrete floors and Knotwood aluminium cladding (which delivers the warmth of timber with none of the maintenance) the material palette is cohesive, durable, and deeply considered.

At this Middle Ridge residence, we focused on getting the details right - seamless transitions between old and new elements, refined joinery, and carefully coordinated trades to ensure consistency from room to room.

Structurally, we reworked the layout to introduce open-plan living zones and improve the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, all while maximising natural light. Every decision was made with the family's day-to-day lifestyle in mind.

When the owners of Mitoshi House fell in love with Japanese architecture, they didn't just draw inspiration from it - they built a life around it. 🌿

Named after the Japanese word for outlook, perspective and insight, this stunning Toowoomba residence reflects a deeply personal vision brought to life through meticulous planning, innovative construction and an unwavering commitment to quality.

This elevated pool - founded on a suspended concrete slab and reached via 58 steps - is one of the most striking features of our Tourist Road build, and a perfect example of how thoughtful engineering can turn a challenging slope into a showstopping opportunity.
