Congratulations to Roy Wood from our Mackay branch on completing his apprenticeship with us!

Pictured here with mentor and Major Projects Foreman Nathan Booth (left), Roy quit studying for a uni degree a few years back to become a tradie - and couldn't be happier.

“If someone had told me a couple of years ago that I’d be spending most of my days 30 metres up in a spider lift, I wouldn’t have believed them,” Roy says.

Overcoming an initial dislke of heights and developing strong technical skills in areas like fine-finish spraying has given Roy a real sense of achievement and a genuine passion for the trade.

We’re proud to have been part of Roy’s journey and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next. 👋

Our Brisbane-Sunshine Coast foreman Hayden Hilyear is hanging up the paint brushes and moving on to a new career.

Hayden joined us as a first-year apprentice in Townsville around 12 years ago and has taken on everything from multi-storey work to detailed heritage work.

More recently he's been a key part of our Brisbane-Sunshine Coast team, helping to keep things running smoothly on site.

As you head into the next chapter mate, thanks for your valued contribution over many years. Good luck - we know you'll smash it!

As we get stuck into another year it's worth reflecting on how far we've come in almost 34 laps around the sun. 👌

In 1992 we bought our first eight-foot step ladder so we could cut in the tops of walls at Mackay's historic TAFE building in Alfred Street.

Today, we operate one of Australia's largest private fleets of spider lifts - reaching up to 12 storeys high.

We're proud to have delivered around 10,000 projects across mining, manufacturing, retail, aged care, education and all tiers of government.

Here's to our clients, our people and more milestones in 2026! 👋

"It looks amazing!"

We never tire of feedback like this. The Brisbane-Sunshine Coast team has just wrapped up a two-week exterior repaint of Cornetts Supermarkets' head office at North Lakes.

The two-storey building, complete with spectacular 360 degree views across the suburb from the rooftop, had not been painted in over 10 years – with sections becoming discoloured over time.

This is the result - along with a happy client!

From Brissy to the tropics and over to Adelaide, our crews are getting ready for a well-earned Christmas break.

This week we grabbed a few frames of Brisbane-Sunshine Coast foreman Hayden Hilyear as his team powers to the finish on a freshen-up of Cornetts Supermarkets' support office at North Lakes.

A quick heads-up: Our branches clock off on Friday, December 19 and re-open on Monday, January 5. 👋

It's been a cracking year and we can't thank everyone enough for the support in 2025.

👌 There’s something about freshly sprayed timber work that never fails to impress.

Our Townsville crew is about halfway through an exterior repaint at Yarrawonga Village Apartments, and the balustrades are already looking fantastic. 🔥

This project caps off a huge year for the team — one that included a range of multi-storey sites where tough terrain and limited access presented heaps of challenges.

Nearly there! The majority of our largest single project of the year - a full interior and exterior repaint of Rydges Mackay Suites - is now done.

This week we’ve been putting the finishing touches on the northern side of the building, a stretch that runs six storeys high and around 100 metres long.

It’s been a massive effort from the team, and we’re proud of the results taking shape. More updates to come as we wrap up this project!
