A purpose-built facility deserves finishes that perform.

Another of our entries in this year's Master Painters Queensland Excellence Awards is Absolute Enterprises’ new workshop and office at Paget.

Always a great night, the awards showcase the best work in the industry.

Absolute Enterprises is a leading machinery manufacturer and repairer catering to mining and industrial businesses.

This recently completed project combined premium interior and exterior coatings with a heavy-duty flooring system - providing durability to withstand the demands of an industrial environment.

With judges for the Master Painters Queensland Awards for Excellence currently making their way around the state, we managed to unearth this little blast from the past. 😄

This article from an old Bristol Paints magazine celebrates one of our State award wins back in 1998, for the repaint of Daydream Island.

Despite a particularly wet start for the first few months of that year, a small crew managed to apply a whopping 13,000 litres of paint over nine months.

A lot has changed since then, but it’s great to look back and see that tackling big jobs – and doing them well – has been part of our story for a long time.

The gold rush of the 1800s left behind an incredible collection of old buildings that continue to define the character of Charters Towers today.

One of those landmarks is the Australian Natives Hall, built in 1893.

Rich in history but weathered by time, we were honoured to help bring it back to life with a repaint.

Here's to a building with many more years in its walls - and many more stories.

One of the first things you notice at Townsville's Yarrawonga Village Apartments is the stunning timber balustrading.

We've been fortunate to return to this beautiful complex many times over the past 15 years, helping to preserve and protect its character.

On a recent visit, we rejuvenated all of the exterior timberwork, including that wonderful balustrading.

A lot of prep, but wow! We think the results speak for themselves.

There were plenty of challenges to keep it interesting in Stage 2 of our complete repaint of Rydges Mackay Suites.

Working in a live hotel environment - in addition to onsite seasonal winds and rain - demanded constant planning and adaptability.

At one point we had a "spider lift" perched on the roof of a neighbouring building. From this elevated position we were able to span across to sections of Rydges' northern side.

The project is one of our entries in this year's Master Painters Queensland Excellence Awards.

A big thank you to the staff at Rydges for the support and co-operation throughout.

Congrats to Karl Petri, who has stepped into the role of foreman at our Brisbane-Sunshine Coast branch. 👏

Since joining Grant Painters last September, he's quickly become a go-to member of the team thanks to his work ethic and positive leadership style.

His journey in the trade began in Cairns, where his talent earned a nomination for Indigenous Apprentice of the Year.

Since then, he’s built up plenty of experience across both commercial and residential projects, making him a natural fit for this next step in his career.

Karl plays semi-professional footy for the Mt Gravatt Vultures in the QAFL. (We also know he fancies his culinary expertise but we're not still convinced about the tuna and rice crackers for lunch though!) 😑
