We had the absolute pleasure recently signing off our 44th Woodfields Apprentice! Bailey was gifted a commemorative Woodfields Yeti to celebrate turning Tradesman.

WORLD SKILLS. BIG EFFORT. EVEN BIGGER BRAGGING RIGHTS!

Our apprentice Bryce recently put his machining skills to the test, competing in the WorldSkills Australia competition for Machining, and we couldn’t be prouder!

After going head-to-head with some seriously talented young machinists, Bryce finished 3rd overall in the region and an impressive 1st in Townsville!

By our standards, Bryce has been a machining rockstar from day one, so it was fantastic to see those skills recognised when TAFE Queensland selected him to compete.

Competitions like WorldSkills are a great opportunity for apprentices to put their skills under pressure and see just how far their trade can take them.

Well done Bryce, you’ve done Woodfields proud!

We attended the Qld Training Awards regional final on Friday, where our business was nominated for Small Employer of the Year. Although not winners on the day, to be in the top 3 for the region was a proud achievement. A humbling experience to share the room with such outstanding businesses and individuals dedicated to training and skills in Queensland.

Woodfield’s is proud to have progressed to the Regional Finals of the Queensland Training Awards in the Small Employer of the Year category.
Investing in people, developing skills and creating opportunities has always been at the heart of what we do, so this recognition is something we’re incredibly proud of.
Can’t wait to celebrate alongside the other finalists at the awards ceremony on 31 July. Wish us luck! 🤞

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Woodfield Engineering has been named a nominee in the 65th Queensland Training Awards for Small Employer of the Year – North Queensland Region.

This recognition reflects the hard work of our entire team and our ongoing commitment to creating real training opportunities, supporting apprentices and trainees, and investing in the future of our industry here in North Queensland.

From our very first apprentice to the strong and skilled team we have today, training and development have always been at the heart of what we do. To be recognised alongside so many outstanding businesses is an honour in itself.

Thank you to our staff, apprentices, trainers, clients and supporters who continue to back our vision every day. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.

We couldn’t be prouder of our apprentice Bailey 👏

Being named a finalist in Tec-NQ’s Apprentice of the Year Awards is a huge achievement and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and attitude he brings to the team every day.

Bailey is a great example of what investing in apprenticeships is all about — building skills, confidence and a strong future for our industry.

Great to see this come full circle, Andrew!
