Ever wondered what actually goes into tying a modern extension into a classic 1950s property? 🛠️

It’s a lot more complex than just knocking up a few walls and throwing a roof on. On this project, the boys are navigating a few unique challenges:

Hand-Pitched vs. Engineered: The original house features a hand-pitched roof cut entirely on-site, which we are seamlessly blending with our new precision-engineered trusses.

Dutch Gables: Multiple pitching roofs sitting on top of each other mean the math has to be spot-on.

The Fascia Finish: We’re getting ready for the fascia boards—the wide boards around the roof edge that give it a clean finish, hide the framework, and hold the guttering.

It takes a bit of extra thinking, but that’s how we guarantee a seamless finish that stands the test of time.
