The conversations about budget before the plans were drawn. The decisions about what mattered most and where to spend. The planning that meant nothing had to be reworked later.

For us, that’s where quality really starts. Not just in how a home looks at handover, but in how well it was thought through from the beginning.

A site visit to River Blvd, where the main house has really kicked off.

The ground floor blockwork is done, the scaffold is up, and the boilermakers have installed the steel support beams. Our crew is now well into the subfloor framing, ready for the blocklayers to come back and start on the first storey.

It’s the stage where a slab and a set of walls start to look like a home, and it’s great to see it all coming together.

Some of the most important parts of a build happen off the tools.

The quick call before a decision is due. The update when something changes. The heads-up on what’s coming next week. They’re small moments, but they’re what make a build feel steady instead of stressful.

One year down for Mark 🎉

Mark has officially wrapped up his first year as an apprentice with YoungBuild and is now moving into second year.

He’s put in the hard yards on site this year, learning from the boys and building his skills on every job.

Not every kitchen needs a quiet stone.

Calacatta Viola was the right choice for this one; bold veining, plenty of variation and enough warmth to work with the darker timber cabinetry.

Using it across both the benchtop and splashback let the stone become a real feature of the finished kitchen.

Installed by Acacia Kitchens with a 20mm Aris edge profile.
